Happy Christmas to you all from the Fitzherbert Community Hub!

Thank you!

Christmas is a time of giving and, WOW, our local community has taken this seriously! We would like to thank everyone so much for the incredible donations to our Crowdfunder campaign and our Sunday Food Bank!

People from across Brighton & Hove have been so very generous and we have been able to make sure that our friends who access the food bank can take away something extra special this Christmas.

Our latest video from Stories of Note describes how our Sunday Food Bank has been transformed in recent weeks and we hear from a local cafe owner whose customers are determined to combat food poverty in their community.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Open Bakery and FareShare for their ongoing support of the food bank.

Our food bank is open as usual on Boxing day from 12.30-1.30pm at St. John the baptist parish hall. Thank you volunteers! Your commitment is awesome!

But relying on food banks is not sustainable or dignified and we cannot wait to be able to open our doors next Summer and welcome people to join us for daily hot meals made from surplus food on a pay as you feel basis.

Not only will this be an opportunity to tackle food poverty head-on, but it will be a space where the community can come together, break down social barriers and form enduring friendships. A place where people can belong!

Only 7 more days to reach our target

We only have 7 days left on our Crowdfunder campaign so we’re going all out to reach our target now! Remember we have a local major donor who is matching every donation £ for £ so every time you donate £1 it becomes £2! Magic!

We have just had a very exciting reward donated to the campaign……..an Artist Proof (1/12) ‘Black Cats Everywhere’ by local artist David Shrigley.

Valued at £3,500. This incredible piece of art could be yours for a donation of £2,750 or more to the Crowdfunder.

Thank you, David!

You can see this and all our other fabulous rewards along with information on the campaign and the Fitzherbert Community Hub here.
