Thanks to volunteer teams from the Catholic Parish of East Brighton, Brighton Table tennis Club Food Hub is now open on Sundays

Due to unprecedented demand for support from the BTTC Food Hub, a team of 24 volunteers form the Catholic Parish of East Brighton, now operate the food bank in St John the Baptist parish hall every Sunday from 12.30 – 2.30pm.

The food hub provides food and basic toiletries for more than 300 people a week, many of whom have been experiencing increased need as a result of the financial impact of Covid-19

Here’s what people are saying

“Meeting members of the community accessing the food hub, reveals interesting people who you would not otherwise meet…..volunteering here is an opportunity to put our faith into practice. This activity and the need for volunteers will continue well beyond Covid-19”

“There have been times when I’m down to my last pound and coming here for food and advice has saved my week. I’m thankful I can come here. It’s not just about picking up food, it’s about meeting people. Knowing somewhere like this is here gives you hope ”
