by | Aug 2, 2022

In the latest video following the development and construction of the Fitzherbert Community Hub, we hear from the project architect, Stephanie Stead, about creating an accessible and inclusive space for all.

The principles of accessibility and inclusion have been central to the design of the community hub from the start. The challenge has been to find a balance while creating a communal space that meets the needs of the different groups that will use it. From the inclusion of gender neutral and accessible toilets to raising the floor to improve access the community hub user has been a the heart of every design decision.
